St Mary Magdalen Church in Thorrington is a friendly village church just outside of Thorrington off the Clacton Road. The parish covers the village of Frating as well as Thorrington. 
The church services are at 9.30am on Sundays and are traditional but with modern language and a mixture of old and newer hymns. There are activity boxes for children during the services.
During the week there is a home group which meets on a Monday afternoon and another one on Wednesday evenings. We are part of a benefice with the neighbouring parishes of St Andrew's Alresford and St Anne & St Laurence, Elmstead.  Some activities such as Alpha courses and children & youth work take place mainly in Alresford.  Details of other services & events can be found on our web-site www.thorringtonchurch.net
